My Website
December 8, 2009Final Project Plan
November 19, 2009I think I am going to follow the trend and blog about my three favorite TV shows: Sons of Anarchy, Entourage, and Dexter. I will review the concept for each show and relate it to other popular shows both present and past. I will then discuss why I am a fan of the particular show and why. Lastly, I will outline the direction of the show and where I hope to see it go.
Rather late than never…
September 24, 2009Well good afternoon everyone, my name is Dave Elston and I am sort of new to this whole blog thing. I started a blog once and even posted a few things. But I never really got into the whole consistency of it all. However, I am open to learning more about new media and blogging.
Now my background is in creative advertising and I will be graduating this December with a degree in such. After having some professional experience in the ad world, I’ve realized there is little money in advertising and I have now focused my goals towards the field of law. See, I work for a telecommunications company in San Jose and have a great deal of interest in the telecom industry. And I’ve found there is are actually a lot methods of advertising theory involved in my industry and thus I can justify to myself that a degree in creative advertising is relevant to telecommunications. If you’d like to here my thoughts on this correlation, please feel free to drop me a line.
So, I’m a pretty easy going guy with a lot to talk about. I enjoy being active and I do like to cycle, train mixed martial arts, throw a baseball around, and even run stairs every once and a while. Although, physical activity has never been my strong point, I do try my best. I’m huge fan of television and often make time to catch my favorite shows like: Raising the Bar, Entourage, Sons of Anarchy, Ultimate Fighter, and Dexter. It wasn’t until recently that I got really into reading. I’ve learned that reading is actually very entertaining and even relaxing. I guess its one of those things that comes with age.
And well, that’s a little bit about Dave. Now I’m very excited to expand my knowledge of new media by taking this course and hopefully I can even learn some interesting techniques to thus broaden my scope of the internet. I have a Facebook and Twitter, so please feel free to look me up. I figure if you’d really like to find me, then you can do the search yourself. Sorry, no links to my profile. So… yeah… that’s it about Dave. Hope to get to know you all and I wish you the best of luck in this class.
